This year is an especially exciting one for Lebanon whose Nadine Labaki-directed Caparnaum is vying against Roma (Mexico), Shoplifters (Japan), Girl (Belgium), and Never Look Away (Germany) for the Best Foreign Language Film award. This marks Lebanon’s first Golden Globe nomination as Labaki’s social-realist film etches closer to landing the director’s home country its second consecutive Academy Award nomination in the same category after Ziad Doueiri’s The Insult made history last year.

The Golden Globes will be hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Andy Samberg and Grey’s Anatomy alum Sandra Oh who is, herself, up for an award for her leading role in BBC’s smash Killing Eve. Tune in at 3:00 AM on Dubai One to watch the ceremony live!
